THE ACADEMY

Our CSA Summer Soccer Academy is a youth soccer program designed for players who would like to learn the game of soccer outside of the club scene. Children ages 3 to 10 are provided two weekly sessions on two different days, giving them sixteen sessions total. Each session teaches the skills and rules of soccer providing them with the tools necessary to relate to each other as a soccer group.  Now that we are in stage 2 of the state guidelines for the state of Tennessee, it does change what we can do and limits how many players and parents can participate in one session. We will obviously follow the Tennessee guidelines in order to keep everyone safe but active. We are also taking our own steps to ensure the safety of our players and parents by making sure to stay the required 6 ft distance from any player or parent, and we will also disinfect all equipment between each session. We ask that all players and parents stay within 6 feet of each other and your coach as well.

OUR CURRICULUM

Years of experience have helped shape our structured but fun soccer curriculum which educates and prepares our players for competition. We strive to give our players an educated personal understanding of soccer, giving them the ability to make independent choices for success on the field. Understanding soccer on a physical "and" mental level will help develop a well rounded smarter player.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Every age group is important, and the earlier you start the better! This unique age group is where many children can develop bad habits if they aren't coached in an environment that offers instruction in detailed easy to follow steps. Our classes are fun but also very structured.  We take every age group very seriously and believe children of any age should receive quality coaching that speaks to them directly.     

WHAT WILL MY CHILD LEARN?

During the 8 weeks, we will focus on skills such as dribbling, shooting, directional play, passing, laws, field boundaries, and sportsmanship. Through easily understood directions, we teach children soccer rules, skills and terminology so they are able to successfully understand a coach's instruction and communicate with each other. Each session is structured so that it is beginner friendly but also continues to challenge every level within the group.

This program begins June 16th   8-week program/16 Sessions 

(Last session August 7th.)

LOCATION:

All 2020 Summer Academy sessions take place outdoors at:

Knoxville Christian School Soccer Field, 11549 Snyder Rd, Knoxville TN, 37932.

WHAT TO WEAR/BRING:

Children should wear comfortable sports clothing, shin guards, and soccer cleats to all practices. (ages 3-7 size 3 ball) (age 8-10 size 4 ball) Children should bring a soccer ball to each session and plenty of water.
